ATLANTIC CITY — The storm known as Mike Tyson rolled through the Atlantis Hotel & Casino Friday night and left devastation in its wake, as Robert “Big Bob” Colay found out the hard way in just 37 seconds of round one.

In his first scheduled eight-round bout, Tyson, weighing in at 217 pounds, extended his undefeated record to 10-0, all by knockout, with another merciless finish. Colay, the 224-pound Floridian, came in with a respectable 14-5-1 ledger, but Tyson turned that into an afterthought faster than most could find their seats.

From the opening bell, Tyson wasted no time asserting dominance. He launched into his trademark crouch, weaving side to side with piston-like intensity, and immediately began throwing thunderous blows upstairs. Colay tried to keep the young powerhouse at bay with looping punches, but his wide stance and dangerously low right hand proved fatal against Tyson’s pinpoint aggression.

Just 27 seconds in, Tyson unleashed a sledgehammer of a left hook that detonated on Colay’s jaw. The towering heavyweight crashed to the canvas flat on his back, staring at the ceiling lights as the count began. Colay, to his credit, showed heart in rising by the count of nine, but his legs betrayed him. Sensing the danger, referee Ted Pick smartly stepped in and waved off the contest at 0:37 of the first round.

The bout marked the second-fastest knockout of Tyson’s burgeoning professional career and another emphatic statement to the heavyweight division. Decked out in blue trunks with white trim and signature red gloves, Tyson looked every bit the force of nature that boxing fans had been buzzing about since his March debut. Colay, clad in white with blue trim, simply never got a chance to warm up.

The win continued Tyson’s frightening streak of early stoppages—this being his seventh first-round KO—and it’s clear that the Brooklyn-born wrecking machine is moving with the speed of a title shot. Each appearance adds to the growing legend and fear factor that surrounds him.

As Tyson tears through opposition with ruthless precision, one question echoes louder with every fight: Who can stand up to this whirlwind of power, speed, and unrelenting hunger?

For now, the heavyweight ranks have no answer. Only more victims.
