On June 15, 1985, Pinklon Thomas successfully defended his WBC Heavyweight Title by defeating Mike Weaver with a technical knockout at 1:42 in the eighth round. The bout, held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino’s SuperStar Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, showcased Thomas’s prowess and cemented his position in the heavyweight division.  Promoted by the legendary Don King, this match was Thomas’s first defence of his WBC title.
